COME ON FOLKS!!!, we are polluting the net. How about taking it to
alt.flame or dev/nul? We hear it at home, in our cars, at lunch, why do
we have to hear about it in comp.sys.* groups? It doesn't belong here
anyway! WE READ/HEAR THE NEWS!!

Schmuck | e-mail: schmuck@sun.rhrk.uni-kl.de Well, this is a technique that has been developed in some underground lab in Kengeri. The strategy is to effectively seal any crevasse that develops and attack the earth surface from the inside so that fissures will not snowball into a full blown earthquake. First wash the surfaces thoroughly with soap and water. When it is completely dry, apply generous amounts of clearsil (industrial strength - available in most single bars). If even after this, eruptions do not cease, assemble local gentry into 2 x N phalanges (N = number of people available /2), arm them with 2" wide rolls of duct tape, and instruct them to tape down all fissures as soon as they are sigthed. Usage of strapping tape has also yeilded desireable results. If even this does not stop an earthquake, assume the head between knees position pucker up and kiss your keester ta ta Jude
