I have a Philips CM8833 monitor which has two independant inputs: 1. TTL RGB input (DIN connector) has all three ttl level inputs with independant V & H sync pins which are internally wired ored through equal value resistances (electrical sum). 2. CVBS + RGB linear + Audio input (Euro Connector) [looks like DB-9 connector with one end orthognal rather than angled with two rows of pins]. I have no problem in identifying the analog RG&B pins. Problem: The euroconnector has CVBS input (1Vpp/75ohm) that is identified in the literature for synchronisation signal for linear RGB input. How should the V & H sync outputs of the VGA card be connected to this line ???? Another question is about pin5 of VGA output (Self raster). Can any one shed some light on this pin? The euro connector has one pin labled Fast Blanking. Any idea what this could be? I have the schematics of the monitor and can discuss this further if any one has any specific question.
