Assuming that the 386 system has a FPU,

it will depend on what you are doing.  Multiprocessing generally will go
faster on the 486, single-tasking systems will do better on the 386.

I saw that!  He wants the fastEST machine he can get i think.  
That would be our 486/33mhz...right now anyway.
