I need help connecting an Apple Laserwriter IINT to an IBM
AT machine. Can anyone help? Here are some details.
I have followed the manual completely. I'm using the proper
dip switch settings on the printer. I have a serial cable (RS232)
with a null modem. I have the port on the IBM (COM2) configured
correctly (using the mode command) and I have the proper handshaking
values set (ie, XON/XOFF, No parity, 7 bits etc.).
I have used both the POSTCRIPT and DIABLO modes but, no dice! All
I get at times are an infinite number of blank pages or one line
containing overlapped scribbling.
I have gotten it to work on a Mac with no problem. I prefer not
to use Appletalk with the IBM (don't have it).
Anyone have any experience with this setup? Please email!
