I have an Okidata 182 printer that I am trying to use with Windows and other applications. None of the applications I have have a driver for a "straight" 182. Many packages do have a driver for a 182 with the "plug-N-play" module. My question is, what exactly is a "plug-N-play" module? Is it a different ROM chip, or something that goes between the PC and printer? Does it make the Oki IBM compatible (ie, extended character set and escape sequences)? Has anyone ever seen one? Does anyone know where I can get one? Any help/advice anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated!
