Can anyone give me any information/opinion regarding
the Western Digital HD/FD contoller WD1006-VMM2.
All I know about it is:
1) MFM
2) 1:1 interleave
3) Handles 2 Floppy Disks
4) Handles 2 Hard Disks
But is it any good?
Will it work in a 33Mhz 386 box?
I have seen it advertised for about $100.00
Thanks
Peter

I have access to two NEC 386/20 boxes (not bad, but lousy memory architecture), one with the older board, one with the newer. The newer, which can be found for $119 or thereabouts, is notably faster.
