We have a Novell LAN and a TCP/IP network of Suns (over the same wire, but that's not relevant here, I think). Does someone know of a not-very expensive printer sharing method? I understand there are Novell TCP/IP things, but they seem wildly overpriced the last time I checked. Right now we're using an RS-232 switchbox, so that one has to walk in and flip the switch before printing, and it's a PAIN! Thanks in advance for any insight. -- Mark McWiggins Integration Technologies, Inc. CompuAdd sells intelligent switch boxes.. they automatically route the proper computer to the printer as needed. Can't find my CompuAdd catalog at the moment, but I believe the box lists for $80-90. While I'm typing this.. the company I work for is replacing what's left of their Novell netwroks with Ethernet. While I'm not involved in that project, the techies tell me that Novell is a monsterous pain in the ---... but Ethernet zips along rather nicely at 10meg/sec. Not to mention being standard protocol amoung nearly all platforms. ---Brian Stretch (stretch@emunix.emich.edu) Quote: "Oxymoron: Intel Customer Support"
