Does anyone know what is required to upgrade from 512k to 640k in the Tandy 3000HL AT-compatible? It's CHIPS chipset, and the only sockets on the board are 4 18-pin and 2 16-pin DIPs. Needless to say, I don't have any docs at all. I don't know about jumpers either. Thanks, Dave Wood dbw@mtunk.att.com

If you want to purchase your own chips, you'll need 4 64Kx4 100ns DRAMS (they go in the 18-pin sockets) and 2 64Kx1 100ns DRAMS. The 64Kx4 chips should cost you about $4 apiece (mailorder) and the 64Kx1 chips should be about $3. You'll need to remove the jumper at E8-E9 and place it on E10-E11. That's all. - paul INTERNET: paul@devon.lns.pa.us | If life's a bitch, then UUCP: ...!rutgers!devon!paul | we must be her puppies.
