[comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware] Problems with NEC MultiSync 5D, PS/2-80 and AutoCad v 10

ulfis@nada.kth.se (Anders Ulfheden) (08/21/90)

A friend of mine has a problem:

He had a PS/2-60 (a 286 based machine) together with NEC's Multisync 5D
screen, running AutoCad version 10 for 286 machines. All fine.

For a couple of months ago he bought a PS/2-80 (386 based machine), upgraded
his AutoCad program to the 386 version and got a new driver from NEC. Here's
the problem; the driver ACADRL10.COM program that NEC provides does not work
with the 386 based machine. NEC in Sweden says that it will take months before
a new driver is released, maybe not even this year!

Have anyone else the same problems? Have we found the correct source to
the problems or is there more?
Is there any solution before christmas? Any ideas?!

All replies via mail and I'll summarize to the net...
