I am looking at 3 different ads for a used HP Laserjet for between $475 and $600 in my local classifieds. I took one look at these ads and decided "I need a laser!". Has laser printer prices drastically dropped recently or is it just me? I guess the Cannon LBP4 and HP IIP really made an impact... My question is this: Are these prices reasonable or should I go for a HP IIP instead (they go for $800, right?)? What the current crop of laser printers do that a Laserjet can't? Are the Laserjets upgradable to Postscript via cartridge? (When the ads say Laserjet, I'm assuming the series I) My thought is that I'd get a LJ really cheap and get GoScript until I can afford something better. (remember, I'm a poor hungry college student; I want a laser printer so I can get word processing and consulting jobs to pay for school) Thanks for the help. E-mail, post, throw a rock through my window, I don't care how you respond. -- Dennis Lou Disclaimer: I don't use lame disks. dlou@dino.ucsd.edu "But Yossarian, what if everyone thought that way?"
