Three weeks of river rafting in northern Alaska on the Porcupine
River , July 31 to August 22.  17 days on the river.
$500, comparable to commercial trips for $2000 or more.
Transportation to Fairbanks is up to the individual, about $500
for a round trip air fare. This is a private trip
organized by a family friend, with a lot of his friends and aquaintences,
including my father and grandfather.  Many of these folks are very 
experienced river folks.  The entire trip takes place north of the Arctic
Circle.  Cost includes equipment to Fairbanks, DC 3 to Old Crow, Yukon,
air fare from Fort Yukon, Alaska back to Fairbanks, boat rental, all
dinners and breakfasts on river.  Does not include river lunches, beer,
booze. You would be expected to bring a tent, sleeping bag, eating
utensils, a day-pack made water-proof, a river bag, wool pants, rain suit,
sneakers or wet suit booties( highly recommended ), mosquito repellant,
etc.
Total weight limit for personal gear is sixty pounds.  $150 deposit.
