[comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware] Replacing BIOS chips

svaepiz@eva.slu.se (08/31/90)

Hi netlanders,
Some time ago I asked (for a friend) how to make an old IBM AT read
and write 1.44 Mb floppies and the advice I got was to change the
BIOS chips to e.g. a Paradise chip. Now this friend of mine has got
a set of Paradise chips but he doesn't know where to put them! More
specifically, there seems to be 4 sockets for chips (named U17, U27,
U37 and U47) and in U27 there's now a chip labeled 92560-0061 6181028
8534 CAA and the chip in U47 is labeled 92560-0062 6181029 8520 CAA.
Does someone out there in netland know how these should be replaced
with the Paradise chips?

Thanx in advance!
