I had a 10meg hard drive die in an old IBM PC. I've run into some problems getting a new 10meg drive working. Mainly, I don't know how to low level format it. I've tried debug with g=c800:5 with no luck. Unfortunately, I have no specific information on the controller. It is most likely original IBM equipment. It is full length and only a hard drive controller. The floppy controller is seperate and about 3/4 length. Any suggestions on what to try, or even whether or not the formatting routine is on the card. Thanks for any and all possible solutions. Vern

It is full length and only a hard drive controller. These oldies often had the format program on floppy. If this one's "true blue" you'll need IBM's _Advanced Diagnostics_ diskette. If it's 3rd party, the IBM disk may work, or you might need the disk that came with the controller. (Good luck :-( ) ----------------------------------------------------- Gordon S.
