[comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware] LANs with IBM PCs, Terminals, and dbs

Hello,

I am looking for information about different types of LANs for IBM PCs.

Requirements:
    - nondedicated server
    - the network should support dumb terminals, possibly driven from one 
        of the PCs
    - possibility for running a networked database on the IBM PCs + dumb
        terminals LAN.
        -optimally the database would be an SQL relational database

Any information about this subject will be greatly appreciated.
