[net.travel] looking for an inn in eastern mass

arf (09/14/82)

I am looking for a great place to stay in eastern mass,
preferably a well-run country inn. Any suggestions?

There is a book of Country Inns in the New England area
available in paperback at bookstores. I bought mine at
B Dalton Bookstore. This book lists prices, food, etc.
for various Inns in New England.

I believe US 20 is the route number. Go west out of Boston to Sudbury. Its
about 6 or 8 miles west of Route 128. Keep going for another 5 miles. Watch
for a small sign "Wayside Inn", They only have a few places available to
sleep. It would be wise to contact them as early as you can. When I ate
there a couple of years ago, I thought it was one of the better values in
the country. The food was great and the price reasonable. The buildings date
from the 1700's. There is an old mill just across the road...very
 picturesque.
