The other day I happened to insert a 3.5" diskett upside-down in the drive. The disk was almost fully inserted when I noticed my mistake (I had to use more strength than usual and the disk wouldn't "snap" into the correct position). My question is: Is it possible that the drive has been damaged or do these drives have some sort of built-in protection so that the read/write heads cannot be lowered when the disk is in the wrong position? By the way, my drive works fine, but I'd like to know IF I ever make the same mistake. Please respond with e-mail. Bengt Ask, Lund Institute of Technology, Lund, Sweden
