For what its worth when my wife and I went to hawaii we stayed on maui (no ka oi !!) . We stayed at a condo called the Napilli Shores. A very nice place,a view of the ocean, small dinett and even a gazebo were they serve a good break- fast. This all came as a package deal so I would not be able to tell you the day-by-day cost. But our package did include unlimited miliage on a rented car (an absolute must on maui) . Now if you are into ULTRA!!! comfort and you are willing to pay for it may I suggest the Hyatt Regency. Excellent food,service,accomodations. Nice beach,snorkling,jet skis. They have a very large free form pool with lava slide. Two water falls to swim under, and much,much more. There are indoor ponds that contain penguins ,outdoor pools that have fish and one pond is even called Swan Court for obvious reasons. The price is aprox. 100$ per night but worth it. By the way I highly recomend a restarant there called the Lahina Provision Co. They have a 20 foot desert counter called the Chocolate Bar. Have a good time.
