Hi, I recently obtained a Conner CP-3101 I wished to install in my new 386. I can define the parameters in drive type 47 (user defined) but the machine refuses to read from the drive, says something about attachment failed. I n low level format the drive with the AMI BIOS S system and with disk manager, I can DOS format the drive, I can copy files onto the drive, and I can put the system files on the drive. The 386 refuses to boot from the drive ,and I cannot read the file once it is on the drive, The HDD access light doesn't even come on. According to some people here, the drive is too slow for the bus, and there is a BIOS fix for it. All I know is I need the space, and the machine working...Roy **************************************************************** *Carl King @ * *Memorial University of Newfoundland @ Dammit Jim, I'm a * *---------------------------------------@ Doctor, not a UNIX * *Cking@kean.ucs.mun.ca @ GURU.. * *Carlk@stretch.cs.mun.edu @ * ****************************************************************
