The Subject: title is part 1. What I *really* want to know is what's the cheapest VGA card on the planet that uses the ET3000 or ET4000 chipset from Tseng Labs. Thanks for the info! ----------------------------- Steve Hite ...gatech!uflorida!unf7!shite

I'm interested, too. First some VGA's with ET3000 & ET4000 Genoa 5300,5400,5100 (ET3000) Tricom (ET4000) (This is the Tseng VGA broard 8909 !@!!) If someone is going to buy a VGA, I would recommend one with the ET4000 chip. This Chip is about 2.5 times faster than the ET3000 for some applications. - Thomas -- _______________________________________________________________________________ Mail: Thomas Roell (c/o Daniel Hernandez) Inst. f. I have a VGA board by Puretek that I'm happy with. It uses the ET4000, an came with 1MB of memory. Puretek are located in California, and were very responsive when I called them about getting the windows 3.0 drivers. A nice feature of this board is that it can drive a TTL monitor, if necessary. Since I was still shopping for a multisync monitor when I got the board it was nice to be able to use my old CGA monitor while I took my time looking for a real monitor. (I ended up with a NEC 4D, with which I'm very happy.)
