Hello all, I am looking for a way to discover what sort of grahics card (ie. EGA, VGA etc) in installed in a PC either through s/w (BIOS calls etc) or at the DOS prompt. Quick history: friends board goes off for repair, and upon return some graphics applications no longer work, any ideas ? If the situation is to determine if your friend got the right card back then a physical examination of the card is the simplest method. There should be a square chip, usually the largest one on the board, with words like VGA or EGA on it. Otherwise you do not need an identification program. You need a diagnostic program.
