I recently went to England with my mother. Her passport had expired, so to get her there, I sent her through D.C.. I sent her through the state department at about 9:00 AM and she recieved her passport later that day (about 4:00 PM). So if you are in a real hurry and have the money to spend to go through one of the passport centers (i.e. Chicago, DC, LA...), you can get off quick. I don't recommend it, but it can work...... ncrday!greg
