I have seen a few News articles discussing difficulties with Connor IDE drives (mostly with UNIX-like op. sys.). I am considering a Connor 209MB IDE drive for both a 386DX and 386SX system. Is there anything to be concerned about in terms of compatibility with DOS, Windows, UNIX, etc. or is it just the case that all IDE drives cause certain programs to be patched (because they assume a "fixed" geometry). Any experience with Connor IDE drives and their hardware/software compatibilty would be appreciated. Thanks, Kevin L. Spier spierk@turing.cs.rpi.edu Kevin L. Spier spierk@turing.cs.rpi.edu
