I have a problem in using DTMF dial up modem in France. The modem that I am trying to use worked O.K. in the USA. I have full control on various DTMF parameters: * Signal Duration. (msec) * Signal level. (dB) * Interval between each digit. (msec) * Any general clues about DTMF in France vs. DTMF in France ? * Any specific setting for the above parameters ? * How about other European countries ? Regards, Benny. -- ----------------------------------------------------------------- Benny Schnaider benny@vlss.amdahl.com Amdahl Corporation, 1250 EAST Arques Avenue, M/S 246, Sunnyvale CA, 94088-3470 (408) 296 - 0596, (408) 737 - 7883 -----------------------------------------------------------------

Are you sure, DTMF is used in France? 2. Are you sure it is used in your local PBX? 3. Are you sure, that your telephone line uses DTMF? ad 1.: In Germany only those new electronic exchanges (also supporting ISDN) can support DTMF. ad 2.: That means, your local PBX must know about DTMF and last not least here in Germany: ad 3.: you must ask you local PTT for switching your own line free for the use of DTMF (no extra cost, but minimum is a phone call to the PTT...).
