I recently purchased a 16 bit Paradise compatible VGA card from CompuAdd. There is a utility program called "16test" on the distribution software, which tests to see if your card is working in 8-bit or 16-bit mode. When I run the program, it tells me that I'm running in 8-bit mode, and that I should set my switches to force the card into 16-bit mode, if I am, in fact, using a 16-bit slot. I did so, to no avail. I'm running this in a Zenith 248(?) AT compatible. The card is in a 16-bit slot, but the test still shows that the card is running 8-bit mode. Any ideas? I'd like to use the advantage of 16-bit graphics speed. That's what I bought the card for. Thanks. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | Brad Skrbec | "For it is the doom of men that they forget." | | Motorola Cellular | -- Merlin | | Arlington Heights, IL | UUCP: uunet!motcid!skrbec | | | Internet: motcid!skrbec@uunet.uu.net | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
