[comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware] AST-3G Plus

robin@uhccux.uhcc.Hawaii.Edu (Robin Amano) (10/21/90)

Does anyone out there have the jumper settings and switch settings for
the AST-3G Plus? My father-in-law's friend upgraded to a vga monitor
and gave him his old AST board, but lost the manual. He called the
company and got the switch settings but it doesn't seem to work.
Any help would be appreciated. He'd like to use it in CGA mode.
Thanks!!

Call to AST's BBS. It will tell you how to set the switches.

I don't have an AST 3G Plus (the original long card) but I do have an AST
3G Plus II card (the short one).

The settings for CGA are as follows (taken from a board sitting on my desk):
SW1: 1-on, 2-on, 3-on, 4-off, 5-on, 6-off

Jumper: there is only one on this board. 3xx + jumped across pins to 3xx
                                                . +
                                              2xx

I hope this helps.
