[comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware] what does interlaced mean? / recc. for SVGA

mbharrin@sdcc13.ucsd.edu (Matt Harrington) (10/26/90)

I am trying to increas my knowldege about IBMs before I
purchase a 386 to replace my Mac SE. I see that some monitors
say that they are non-interlaced, what does this term mean?

Also, I'd like to have SVGA display, and I am under the impression that
I have to get a video card that is widely used so that more applications
will run under it. I've heard good things about the Panasonic1381
monitor, but what about video cards? And, is this monitor good?

Thanks for any help...
