Are the host adaptors for IDE drives interchangeable on an AT
bus system. After all, IDE as in interface only specifies that the
controller is integrated onto the drive.
Consider my case: I have a Conner 3044 (40M) which is
crowded and an empty drive bay. Are my addition options limited to
the Conner 3104 and 3204, or will other, less expensive IDE drives
from other companies plug into the cable and behave.
