[comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware] Is there such a thing as "math coprocessor on a card" for an XT?

Hi, netters:

For XT machines that do not have a math coprocessor socket (e.g. laptop),
does a coprocessor card exists that will fit into a standard slot ?
I don't seem to be able to find it in the magazine ads.

Looking at the 8087, 80287, and 80387 data sheets indicates that it is not
possible to do this over the ISA bus. However, I see no reason from a
system-level standpoint why an adapter which plugs into the CPU socket
would not work. The problem is trying to find a way to package-up such a
beast so that it plugs into several different systems; I think that scared
off potential manufacturers.
