I am trying to expand the memory on an 80286 system. I have my hands on JDR microdevices' MCT-AEMS card with 1 meg, which conforms to LIM EMS 3.2. With a little more money and a lot more hassle, I can get the MCT-EEMS card (same vendor) which uses 256x4 DRAMS and conforms to LIM 4.0. I want to run programs designed to access extended/expanded memory, like Paradox3, Reflex2, 123 3.0, etc. Will I run into problems with the cheaper/easier solution; do I need the LIM 4.0 board? And for my edification, what's the diff. between these two standards? Sam Wilson wilson@ix1.cc.utexas.edu [is the best address]
