I posted this to comp.sys.laptops last week... without much luck. Perhaps someone who knows how various memory cards and drivers operate might be able to help. ----- I have a Zenith SupersPort 286 laptop with 1 Meg of Ram. As far as I can determine, I am able to have access to the memory beyond the 640K conventional memory only when it is expanded. I can configure the computer with the memory setup as (conventional/expanded) 640K/256K or 512K/384K . When I setup the computer with the memory as extended, it is unaddressable. HIMEM.SYS can't find it. I would like to be able to address that extra 1/4 megabyte as extended, so that I could use MS-Windows, which needs the 256K as extended rather than as expanded. Any suggestions? -- ----------------------------------------------------------------- Josh Grosse jdg00@amail.amdahl.com Amdahl Corp. 313-358-4440 Southfield, Michigan
