[comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware] Intel 16-MHz 386 chip causes crashes

cs441219@umbc5.umbc.edu (cs441219) (11/07/90)

I just read in the October 29,1990, issue of Infoworld magazine that about the
first 20,000 16-MHz-386 chips made by Intel had bugs in it that caused
32-bit software to crash. The chips were built into systems made by Compaq
Computer Corp., Advanced Logic Research, and other companies. Owners of the
16-MHz 386 chip systems are advised to contact their dealers or manufacturers
for free replacements.
