Hello
Could some kind soul send me any info or pointers on how to make a
breakout switch for an IBM at clone. Can such a device be purchased?
Any advice would be great.

Well what do you exactly mean by a "breakout switch"?

The Periscope Debugger comes with a board. There is a breakout
switch so you can bring up the debugger if you software is locked
for example. This debugger even allows you to set breakpoints on reads
or writes to memory. I used it for 3 years. Its really neat.
