[comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware] Has anybody tried a Panasonic 1381 monitor?

readdm@ccwf.cc.utexas.edu (David M. Read) (11/05/90)

I am in the market for a new monitor, and was planning to buy a Sony
1304 (Multi-scan HG), but my cash flow got pinched unexpectedly, so
now I have to set my sights a little lower.

Flipping through the latest issue of Computer Shopper, I notice that
Panasonic makes a monitor (Panasonic 1381) which seems to be identical
to the Mitsubishi Diamond Scan (also model # 1381). Are they in fact
the same machine?

Also, does anyone know if the beasty is any good? How does it fare on
color reproduction, contrast, resolution etc...Most to the point, I
suppose, is this: is it worth the $389 price I ferreted out of the
magazine? That's a nice 'n' cheap price tag, so it looks appealing!

I use the Panasonnic monitor at work on many machines. If you don't
need the greater multi-sync capabilities of some of the others, it is a very
reasonable monitor and a good one in its price/brand-name class.
