[comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware] How to install extra memory in a Sanyo MBC555? 256-->512?

johnston@oscar.ccm.udel.edu (11/11/90)

Memory upgrades for the no-longer-supported Sanyo MBC555 not-very-compatibles
involve a system patch in addition to some chip piggy-backing. If anyone
out there is still using such a system, I would greatly appreciate some
how-to information.

Some background for Sanyo gurus: this system includes the so-called
Lotus-board video ram upgrade as well as a serial board from Rocky
Mountain micro. The system currently has 256k of ram, and I have
enough of the appropriate 150ns 64kbit DRAMs for the upgrade.

Please reply by e-mail to Bill (johnston@oscar.ccm.udel.edu).
I will post a summary if appropriate.
