mUch thanks to all who responded to my request for info on fixing
the ailing family PCjr. I am now on the right track, and hope to
actually fix the damn thing! Yes, I am aware BYTE's Jerry Pournelle
would probably disapprove of my having anything less than a 486 w/ all
the options, but I think any computer w/ a disk drive is just what
the doctor ordered.
`And if it does work?' Well, next step will be a modem, either
finding a genuwine PCjr internal or finding some way to hook an old
300 baud Hayes someone gave me to the PCjr serial port...I figure it
will pay for itself with the first pyramid scheme posting I use it on
(Just kidding B^)...)
