[comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware] register model Seagate ST01

hek4@cel.co.uk (hans kristiansen) (11/27/90)

I have recently become the lucky owner of an Seagate SCSI controller,
ST01, which I use to control a hard disk.

This controller has a single surface mounted ASIC (11746-501,CF61891FN,N-78399) as a controller and a BIOS ver. 3.0.0 (16K).

It works flawlessly, but I would like to attach more devices onto this
channel, and I was wondering if anybody out there knows how to program
the device to send commands/data.

Anything would be of great interest.

		Thanks a $$$$$$,
		Hans

Sorry no .sig sigh!, but standard disclaimer applies.

I've got a manual named:

ST01, ST02
SCSI HOST ADAPTER PRODUCT MANUAL
April 5, 1989
36027-002, Rev. G

for FREE from our local Seagate Distributor. Maybe you should try this also.

BTW: This manual 1) describes the installation and setup of the board,
2) has the complete "data sheet" of this ASIC chip.

hope this helps,

Thomas Heller.

PS: This is really more a kind of data sheet and not a programmers manual.
