Can anyone post some first-hand information about Paradise Island in the Bahamas? My husband and I would like to make it to the Bahamas this fall and would appreciate any information about any places on the island that are a must to experience and also about the casino(s) and anything else that one can think of that would be helpful to us. Stick to Nassau proper and just visit Paradise Island briefly. Like Freeport, it's basically just got tourist stuff in it - casinos, beach, hotels, tennis, etc. Downtown Nassau (NOT Cable Beach!) is terrific - you can wander around, see all kinds of interesting things, stores, straw market and whatnot. My wife and I went there for our honeymoon in 1978 and loved it. Dave Sherman Toronto
