[comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware] SCSI / RLL combination

sheinfel@grad1.cis.upenn.edu (Aviad Sheinfeld) (12/01/90)

I have in my machine an RLL controller running two floppies and a HD.

Can I install a Seagate ST-01 SCSI controller *in addition* to the current
controller?

Thanks for replies.

Yes. In fact, I'm using just such a combination right now. I have
a '386 clone with a Western Digital WD1006 (mfm) and the ST-01. Seems to
work just fine. Don't know about this in XT style computers - if you
need to know, I can hook one up and try.
You can even use a ST-02 with this, but unless you can disable the floppy
controller on your other controller, you won't have a floppy! (they conflict)
And hey, the ST-01 is a good deal! I think I paid $30 for mine.
