I'm having a problem with a Seagate ST-4037 hard drive that I'm hopeing you netters can help me with. First, the hardware IBM PC with an Adaptec ACB 2010 Rev M HD controller Seagate ST-4037 hard drive, BIOS Version 1.0 ------- The problem I'm having is, if I configure the Seagate for drive two in the machine, enter Debug with g=c800:CCC, enter the info, and start the format, it will 'seem' to run for about 15 seconds, then above with the following errors: Controller Error 30 BIOS Error 20 If I configure the drive for drive one in the machine, the machine will not boot. Period! It goes to the part of the post where it 'see's' the hard drive, and hangs right there. The reset button won't even reboot the machine, only the power off/on. Does anyone have any ideas? I do not have the jumper options for the drive, and feel that it *may* be that. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
