Has anybody had any experiences with UltraScript and DP-Tek's LaserPort PS600 laser printer controller as a part of a peer to peer network (such as Lantastic) ? I am looking into possibility of sharing this combination among several computers. For those who don't know what these products are: - UltraScript is a PostScript interpreter - LaserPort PS600 is a controller which attaches to your laser printer's video port (Laserjet II&III, Canon LBP-4, Brother HL8 etc.) and allows you to print at true 600DPI. This combo requires one computer which has at least 8MB of memory. The system operates approx. as follows: UltraScript captures the output of program (Pagemager, Word etc.) and translates postscript information in a huge 6MB bitmap, then US send this file to controller and forward to printer. I would like to know if this kind of system will work as a network printer. Thanks, Markku -- Markku M{enp{{ email : jackin@vehka.uta.fi phone : 358 31 561 575 (in Finland (931) 561 575)
