[comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware] Any information about IBM XGA around ?

brandis@inf.ethz.ch (Marc Brandis) (12/17/90)

Does anybody already have any information about the new XGA graphics standard
built in the new IBM PS/2 models. I just know that is has VGA compatibility
and a resolution of 1024 * 768. Is the programming model the same as for
VGA, except that you have larger planes? Do they provide 8514/A compatibility?

Thanks for any information!

And while we're on the topic, I've heard something about "IGA"
graphics. What's the scoop on this?
