[comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware] 1M video card and fixed frequency monitor

I was looking at a video card that has one meg on it and can reach
1024x768 with 256 colors. It is the MVGA-T8900A Image Sharpener from Prolink
Microsystems. It's using Trident chips on it. The manual says that in order
to use the 1024x768x256 mode I have to have a multi-sync monitor or 8514.
It indicates that I can't use a fixed frequency monitor so I just want to make
sure, if I want to use this card to it's full potential do I have to buy a
NEC 3-D or Sony multi-sync? Or can I use monitors like the Samsung CVB4581
which is analog only but can do 1024x768. Comments are much appreciated, I
will summarize the responses.
