Hi!
I'm using Northgate's OmniKey/102 keyboard, one with the function
keys on the left and i really love it...
This keyboard allows you to exchange positions of the Ctrl and
CapsLock keys. So i have Ctrl key next to the letter 'A' and CapsLock
close to the letter 'X'.
The problem is that I don't use CapsLock key often and would prefer
to have Alt at it's place. I understand that this can be done by some
sort of the keyboard remapping TSR, but this would no work under MS
Windows. Moreover, the latest NorthGate ads in various computer
magazines state that current version of the same OmniKey/102 keyboard
allows you to exchange positions of Alt, Ctrl and CapsLock keys!
Great, that's exactly what i need ... but it's almost impossible to
get any piece of hardware upgraded from my part of the world (calling
Tech. Support can also take forever) :-(
So I'm asking the netland: does anybody out there know the
difference between old and current OmniKey/102 versions? I suspect
that it's only in the keyboard controller's EPROM.
Another question: if there is NorthGate's BBS phone numbers
available, or, better yet, some e-mail addresses, could some kind soul
send them to me ?
Thanks in advance,
> Pete
