[comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware] How hard to add a 1.2 Meg floppy to an old Compaq?

We have an old Compaq luggable (8088) whose floppy drive is dying.  Does
anyone know how much grief, aggravation, and bucks would be required to
put in a 1.2 meg drive?  THe controller would have to be changed, of course,
and I expect a bios upgrade too.  Anyone know?  Email replies; I'll summarize.
