I am in the process of designing a DSP based Data Acquisition and processing system to port to the AT Bus. But I find myself stymied by the lack of DMA handshake signalling protocol info. I have searched long and hard, but the best I could come up with was the IBM PC hardware manual. The manual just has a brief description of the ISA Bus signal functions with a lot of questions unanswered (the norm for IBM manuals?). Can somebody give me any info about where to look for things like DMA cycle timing diagrams etc.? I would imagine there are a lot of people out there in netland designing pc peripherals. I would appreciate any inputs from them. Thanx

Try Annabooks' AT Bus Design, by Ed Solari. I'm not sure if it has
the precise data you're looking for, but it's billed as an authoritative
reference on the PC bus. Annabooks is at 800-462-1042, or 619-271-9526
The book is $69.95
