[net.travel] San Francisco Hotel Recommendations

I am planning a trip to the West Coast this summer, and am searching
for reasonably priced accommodations in San Francisco.  Ideally, the
hotel should combine the ambience of the Fairmont with the rates of
Motel 6.  Anyone have any favorite spots, or know of any weekend
packages that may apply this summer?
