I have a Paradise VGA 16+ (up to 640X400X256 ). I would like to get 640X 480X256. there are 8 unused chip pads on the inner edge of the board. I asked Paradise if this could be for and upgrade and they said NO. Does anyone on the net know for sure. It would be nice to not have to buy a new board. There is no driver for Win3 for the 400 line mode but there is for the 480 line mode, this is why I want to change. ________ Jim Hodgers /___()___\ JMH@SLACVM.SLAC.STANFORD.EDU \ ______ / May your faithful saint bernard \ ____ / run away with your yellow Alfa Romeo \____/ (Found in a fortune cookie)

Along the same lines, I have the same board (Paradise VGA 16+) and a while ago I remember someone telling me about adding memory to it and upgrading from (640x400x256) to (1024x768x*). Is this true? ...LATERness... -Z Raisin -- --- "May The Prezent Tenz Be With You." -The Super Amazin Cinnamon Raisin <The Non-Trott> Deen@Romulus.Rutgers.Edu

Absolutely not. WD Imaging has consistently and repeatedly said that the VGA Plus 16 is a =NON UPGRADEABLE PRODUCT=. There are things missing besides VRAM on this card that are required for the higher SVGA modes.
