Hi - Could I tap the wisdom of the hardware netlanders. I have an AT
equipped with a Data Technology Corp. hard disk controller & a
Miniscribe 3425 (20 Mb) drive. I have aquired a used Miniscribe 3650
(40 Mb) drive. Since disk space is tight - you try living with 20M!
- I want to attach the 40 M drive to the existing controller as drive
D:. The problem is that I don't know what jumper settings to set
or how to set the cables up. A real novice, huh. I assume everything
is MFM.
The controller has Data Technology Corp. and 'assy rev C' written on
the PC board. Furthermore, an attached label has '5280 CAI/21180'.
Does anyone know what the jumper settings mean? Currently, W2, W3
are open, W5 is set and W6 has 23 & 56 set. Also what jumper
settings on the 3650 do I need to set to get to be drive D:?
Could someone point in the right direction. Please e-mail me or
post to the group if you can't reach me. If is interest, I'll post
a summary.
Thanks a million...
