I would like to share my experiences (and possibly open a multimedia newsgroup for the PC) about a new **HOT, INNOVATIVE** multimedia product for AT-bus PC market. I'm a freelance software developer. I'm always itching to find new avenues to make money in and so, recently I bought a $795 (other makes run a couple of grands !!) live motion real-time video controller for the AT-bus and VGA card, monitor. This product runs in plain DOS or in MS Windows 3.0. I like the 30 frames/sec refresh rate and also the picture quality. I have seen such live video in expensive workstations, but never such picture quality. You can customize, zoom, pan or clip the image. You can still, capture and import as TIFF file the image into Aldus Pagemaker. Also, as PCX file into PC Paintbrush. You can also print the still image. There are many user controllable buttons to customize contrast, hue, saturation of the video. You can also have 3 channels of video input and switch among them. In short, lots of video manipulation capabilities. For the past few days, I have been watching movies (connect to VCR) and T.V on my PC. Ain't that neat !!!!! I would like to network with and discuss about this product with others. I am already an expert MS Windows 3.0 applications developer and so I am looking into developing neat security, medical, stockbroker applications to bundle with this product. I think there are zillions of applications possible with this product. I am not an agent or a salesperson for Videomail Inc. I heard of them via Computer Currents. If interested, you can call them at: (408) 733-5166, Videomail Inc., 138, Kifer Court, Sunnyvale, CA 94086.
