Just before my last trip through northern Ontario, via the Trans- Canada, I was alterted by a newspaper article to a bookstore in in a small town called Cobalt. We stopped, and it was well worth it. The bookstore is in an airplane hangar (to give you some idea of its size), and the quantity and variety of books and customers there was a real surprise. (Maybe poor TV reception?) I got a fine 2-volume copy of Wilkie Collins' "Armadale" there for $1.50.
